SKI VILLAINS - “Hot Tub Steam & Fondue Dreams” (1983) Vinyl Record

Exclusive Vinyl Pressing: Limited-edition, 12” heavy 180g vinyl, featuring the remastered tracks that were meant to define a generation of ski rebels.

In the snow-capped peaks of the late 70’s, a band was born that was louder, wilder, and hotter than any ski slope could handle. They were called the Ski Villains. Fueled by the rush of big air, fast runs, and après-ski insanity, they hit the scene like an avalanche, blazing a trail that left a powdery path of epic riffs and hedonistic lyrics.  A band born on the black diamonds and frozen moguls of Squaw Valley, shredding riffs and tearing up the après-ski scene like no one had ever seen. With wild stage antics, ferocious guitars, and lyrics hotter than a thermos of honey Jack whiskey, they were kings of the late 70’s fringe ski scene and on the brink of widespread immortality. Their album Hot Tub Steam & Fondue Dreams was set to be the anthem of an entire generation of 80’s snow bums, adrenaline junkies, and hard-partying powderhounds.

But Fate had other plans.

Just weeks before the album’s release, tragedy struck, and the Ski Villains vanished from the music scene. At the time, TRS Records had only produced a limited run of cassette tapes for early promotion. Hot Tub Steam & Fondue Dreams—the last of those recordings—was shelved, locked away in a dusty vault, its potential buried beneath the snow... until NOW."
